Club Lotto & Bingo:

On Saturday 14^th May 2011 the Hillview Lotto was worth €2,200.  The numbers drawn were 5-22-23-24 and there was No Winner and there was No person with 3 numbers.

Next weeks Lotto will take place on Saturday 21^st May.  The Jackpot will be worth €2,300.  Tickets are €1 each and can be bought from ticket sellers and at the Club Bar.  Buy-ins are also now due, €45.00 for 1 year.  If you’re not in you can’t win.

The club bingo takes place every Monday in St. Mary’s Hall in Irishtown, Clonmel.  The weeks Jackpot is starting again at €1,200 in 45 calls.  The books are not expensive and the prizes are good.  Come along and enjoy the evening.

Pitch and Putt:

Captains Prizes Results 2011:

On Sunday 15^th May the Hillview Pitch and Putt Captains prizes took place.  There was a very good turnout on the day.  With some very good Pitch and Putt played.  After the 1^st 36 holes in the Gent’s there were 3 players within a couple of shots of each other.  Liam McNamara 86, Tom Blanche 87 and Tim Shanley 88, while in the Ladies it was also tight between Anne Fitzgerald and Michelle McCarthy who both had 100 Nett after 36.  In the playoff some more great pitch and putt was played in both the Ladies and Gent’s.

The Gent’s went to a further 6 hole playoff as Liam McNamara and Tim Shanley tied on 133.  The results are as follows: Ladies overall Nett Winner Michelle McCarthy, Runner-up Anne Fitzgerald.  Gent’s Overall Nett Winner Liam McNamara, Runner-up Tim Shanley.  Ladies Overall Gross Shuala McCarthy, Gent’s Overall Gross James Cleary.  Ladies 0 to 10 Nett Louise Hackett, Ladies 11 to 18 Nett Laura O’Hanrahan.  Gent’s Senior Nett Joseph Hickey, Gent’s Inter Nett Tom Blanche, Gent’s Junior Nett Con Lucey.  Ladies final 18 Nett Mary Moloney, Gent’s Final 18 Nett Davy Hallinan.  Hole in One Stephen White.

O’Sullivan Insurance Scratch Cup:

The above sponsored Hillview Scratch Cup will take place on Sunday 29^th May 2011.  Play will start at 8.30a.m., with the last card at 2.30p.m… The playoff will be at 6.30p.m. approx.  The Entry fee will be €10.00 per-person playing.  The prizes on the day will be Winner, Runner-up, Third, Fourth, Inter Gross, Inter Runner-up, Junior Gross, Ladies Gross and Last 18 Gross.  All club players are asked to support.

TENNIS:

Paddy Condon Cup:

Next competition up on our calendar is The Condon Cup, played in honour of our recently deceased friend Mr Paddy Condon will be hosted in the Club on Friday night 20^th May 2011.  Entries can be written on the entry sheet provided on the notice board in the club hallway or via Declan/ Phil (086 3288850/0863611270) or any committee member. This historic cup has always been a great competition for all club members and you are asked to get your entry in early to assist in administration.

Tennis Senior Open Week:

The clubs Open week is scheduled for the week of June 11^th to June 18^th. Closing date is June 2^nd. See notice board for details. This is the highlight of the season falling just before mid-summer. It’s all go, with the committee completing its plans to make this an enjoyable week for all the participants from our own club and all the neighbouring clubs in Tipperary and Waterford. There is a competition for everyone from grade 1 to 6 in singles, doubles or mixed. Get your partner and get your names in- Declan & Phil are looking forward to seeing you all in June. Castleview/ Killkenny Interfirms starts on Mon 16^th. Good luck to all participants and to those who are currently travelling further afield to Killkenny.

Open Americans ; It’s hoped to start these very shortly. Consideration is been given to the format, nights etc to make it as enjoyable for all participants. Your thoughts should shared with any committee member

Junior Tennis

Spring League; teams to play a round robin are posted on the board see Ella & Betty. Its hoped to start these Friday 27^th @ 6pm sharp, entry fee 5 euro. Reminder to all that memberships fees are due.

EXTRA PITCH AND PUTT NOTES:

Juvenile Competition:

A Juvenile competition will take place on Saturday 21^st May 2011.  The Entry fee will be €3.00 per-person.  The start time will be 2.00p.m.  The competition will be run over 18 holes.

Easter Competition Results:

The above competition finished on Friday 13^th May last.  The results are as follows: Ladies Nett Winner was Shula McCarthy with 98 and the Ladies Gross Winner was Kathleen Shanley with 114.  Gent’s Nett Winner was Liam McNamara with 83 and the Gross Winner was Brian Webster with 91.

Tipperary County Strokeplay:

The above county board championship will take place on Sunday 22^nd May in Larkspur Park, Cashel.  The entry fee will be €10.00 per-person.  The start time will be 9.30a.m., with last card at 2.00p.m.  All county registered players are eligible to play.  Gents Senior, Gents Inter and Gents Junior Championships plus the Ladies Senior, Ladies Inter and Ladies Junior Championships are all up for grabs.  Come along and play, you never know what might happen.
