Club Lotto & Bingo:
On Saturday 17th September 2011 the Hillview Lotto was worth €4,200.  The numbers drawn were 5-13-15-23 and there was No Winner and there was 1 person with 3 numbers, who received €100.00.
Next weeks Lotto will take place on Saturday 24th September.  The Jackpot will now be worth €4,300.  Tickets are €1 each and can be bought from ticket sellers and at the Club Bar.  Buy-ins are also now due, €45.00 for 1 year.  If you’re not in you can’t win.
The club bingo takes place every Monday Night in St. Mary’s Hall in Irishtown, Clonmel.  The books are not expensive and the prizes are good.  Come along and enjoy the evening.

Social Events:
Table Quiz:
To all table quiz fans, please not that there will be a quiz in Hillview Sports Club on Thursday 22nd September in aid of the Local Hospice.  The entry fee will be €20.00 per-table of 4 persons.  The start time will be 9.15p.m.  Please come along and support this very worthy cause.

Table Tennis:
Doubles Competition:
Hello table tennis fans the season is back.  The 1st competition will be Doubles.  It will take place on Friday 23rd September starting at 8.30p.m.  The Entry Fee will be €5.00 per-person.  The Closing Date for entries will be Friday 23rd September at 6.00p.m.  Open to all members of all standards.  Come along and have some fun while getting some exercise.

Tennis:
Monday Tennis @ Hillview:
Continuing for September the club are hosting open tennis for its members/friends/green fees for a friendly game of tennis beginning 7.30pm. Great opportunity to get to meet other members and we would be delighted to see you.

Hillview Veterans Tournament:
Entry forms are now available for the annual veteran’s competition beginning on Friday 7th of October till Sunday 9th October.  This is kindly sponsored by Specsavers and G&M Window Cleaners. This will be an action packed weekend for the club with a great social dimension with a buffet meal and music on Saturday night. Why not plan to come along and play or view as it also has a grade 5/6 Mixed doubles for the “non-vets”. The committee would be delighted if you were available to help on admin/catering front-just put your name on the board.

Junior Tennis:
Pascal is starting his after schools tennis.  Just give him a call for details.  His details are posted on the notice board on the wall at the front of the Club House.

Pitch and Putt:
Adult and Juvenile Scramble Result:
On Sunday 18th September we ran our first adult and juvenile competition.  We had a good entry on the day.  Thanks to everyone who turned out to play.  The results are as follows:  Winners Aaron Flynn, Paddy O’Hanrahan & John Fitzgerald with 63 (back 9).  Runners-up Glen Cullinane, Gemma McCarthy & Eoin Shanley with 63.  Third were Aidan Tobin, Pauline Lucey & Rory Sheehan with 64.  Congratulations and well done to the winners.

Tuesday Social Nights:
On Tuesday 13th September last we ran our last Tuesday scramble of the season.  This took place at 7.00p.m. sharp and was run over 18 holes.  The format was a 3 ball scramble.  With another good entry everyone enjoyed themselves.  The results on the night were as follows: Nett Winners were John Fitzgerald, Margaret Ryan, Francis McNamara & Breda Howell with 30.  Nett runners-up were Rory O’Hanrahan, Theresa Johnson & Tom Noonan with 34 2/3.  The overall Gross went to Eoin Shanley, Evelyn Cahill & Con Lucey with 46.
From Sunday 25th September next we will switch to Sundays for our scrambles.  They will start at 2.00p.m. and will be played over 27 holes.  The entry fee will be €3.00 per-person.  Come along and enjoy the fun and spend a sociable day with friends.

Juvenile Competition:
The above competitions will continue every Saturday at 2.00p.m.  The entry fee will be €3.00 per-person.  Come along and enjoy the fun.

August/September Competition:
This competition will finish on Friday 30th September 2011.  The entry fee is €2.00 per-card.  Competitors can play as many cards as they like at €2.00 with their best two cards to count.  Come on Ladies and Gents this is a great way to get some much needed practice.

Outings:
Members please note that the Pitch and Putt course will be closed on Saturday 1st October.  There is an outing from Collins Pitch and Putt Club playing in Hillview.  The course will be closed from 11.00a.m.

Bank of Ireland Scramble:
The above scramble will take place on Sunday 2nd October.  The entry sheet will be on the notice board in the pitch and putt kiosk and on the notice board in the club hallway.  The entry fee will be €5.00 per-person.  The closing date for entries will be Friday 30th September 2011 at 9.00p.m.  Come along and support this competition.
