Club Lotto & Bingo:
On Saturday 21st May 2011 the Hillview Lotto was worth €2,300. The numbers drawn were 8-11-12-16 and there was No Winner and there were 7 people with 3 numbers, each receive €20.00.
Next weeks Lotto will take place on Saturday 28th May. The Jackpot will be worth €2,400. Tickets are €1 each and can be bought from ticket sellers and at the Club Bar. Buy-ins are also now due, €45.00 for 1 year. If you’re not in you can’t win.
The club bingo takes place every Monday in St. Mary’s Hall in Irishtown, Clonmel. The weeks Jackpot is starting again at €1,400 in 47 calls. The books are not expensive and the prizes are good. Come along and enjoy the evening.

Condon Cup Results:
On Friday 20th May 2011 the Condon Cup took place in Hillview. There was a good turnout for this prestigious event. This event was run on a round robin basis this year. There was a playoff to see who the 2nd team would be in the final. The format was 2 mixed doubles over 5 sets and if tied a playoff. In what turned out to be a very good game the team of Noel Byrne ©, Mary Wall, Jennie Darcy and Dave Barry came out on top in both matches by 3 games to 2 games over the team of Yvonne Caroline ©, Gillian Barry, Eugene Cooney and Declan Tarrant. Congratulations and well done to everyone.
Tennis Senior Open Week:
The clubs Open week is scheduled for the week of June 11th to June 18th. Closing date is June 2nd. See notice board for details. This is the highlight of the season falling just before mid-summer. It’s all go, with the committee completing its plans to make this an enjoyable week for all the participants from our own club and all the neighbouring clubs in Tipperary and Waterford. There is a competition for everyone from grade 1 to 6 in singles, doubles or mixed. Get your partner and get your names in- Declan & Phil are looking forward to seeing you all in June. Open Americans:
June the 3rd Friday at 7.30 is kick off time for this year’s Open American season. No the Americans did not invent this one and we will put our own twist on it!. We would encourage all club members to come on out on Friday nights, maybe bring a friend on a green fee trial (5e), and introduce them to this great game we love, be they beginners or players with a past !. We will do our best to make it enjoyable for all. We want to strive for two sections, one for beginners and for more experienced players. A small entry fee is charged to cover prizes and post game snacks. A good social evening with not “too much tennis” is guaranteed for all.
Junior Tennis
Summer League; Starting Friday 27th @ 6pm Sharpe the Summer league is up and running with star attractions on each team name. Ella & Betty are at the helm and are hoping you can make this 5 week round robin competition a great occasion for the summer. Entry fee 5E.

O’Sullivan Insurance Hillview Scratch Cup:
The above sponsored Hillview Scratch Cup will take place on Sunday 29th May 2011. Play will start at 8.30a.m., with the last card at 2.30p.m… The playoff will be at 6.00p.m approx. The Entry fee will be €10.00 per-person playing. The prizes on the day will be Winner, Runner-up, Third, Fourth, Inter Gross, Inter Runner-up, Junior Gross, Ladies Gross and Last 18 Gross. All club players are asked to support. The Course will be Closed on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th All DAY no exceptions.
Tipperary County Strokeplay:
The above county board championship will took place on Sunday 22nd May last in Larkspur Park, Cashel. Davy Hallinan finished 2nd in the Inter Section.
Tuesday Social Nights:
On Tuesday 10th May 2011 we had a good turnout. We played a 3 ball scramble. The winners were Kevin Doyle, Evelyn Cahill, Tim Shanley and Eoin Shanley. The gross went to Tom Blanche, Con Lucey and Danny Ryan.
On Tuesday 17th May 2011 we ran scotch foursomes. There were 16 players of all standards. The results are as follows: Nett Winners were Joseph Hickey & Evelyn Cahill with 62½, Nett Runners-up were Tim Shanley & Mary Moloney with 64½, The Gross went to John Fitzgerald & Darren O’Donnell with -10 and Nett Third went to Eoin Shanley and Anne Fitzgerald with 72.
The next social night of pitch and putt will be Tuesday 24th May starting at 7.15p.m sharp.
