Club Lotto & Bingo:
On Sunday 24th July 2011 the Hillview Lotto was worth €3,300.  The numbers drawn were 5-10-15-23 and there was No Winner and there were 5 people with 3 numbers, each received €20.00.
Next weeks Lotto will take place on Saturday 30th July.  The Jackpot will now be worth €3,400.  Tickets are €1 each and can be bought from ticket sellers and at the Club Bar.  Buy-ins are also now due, €45.00 for 1 year.  If you’re not in you can’t win.
The club bingo takes place every Monday Night in St. Mary’s Hall in Irishtown, Clonmel.  The books are not expensive and the prizes are good.  Come along and enjoy the evening.  Congratulations to last week’s winner of our Jackpot.

Adult Marquin Cup:
The above Club competition will take place on Friday 19th August starting at 6.00p.m…  The entry fee will be €10.00 per-person.  The entry sheets are on the notice board in the hallway.  Any club member interested please write your name down before 9.00p.m. on Friday 12th August.  Come along and have some great fun.

Tennis:
Junior Tennis: Hillview Open week:
Our Junior Open Week will take place from Monday 8th August to Saturday 13th August 2011.  The closing Date for Entries is Friday 29th July 2011.  Entry forms are available in the tennis kiosk and the hallway and online on the club website. Get this into your calendar.

Tramore Junior Open:
On the week ending the 17th July last the finals of the Tramore Junior Open were run.  One of our club juniors Jayne O’Gorman had a fantastic tournament.  Jayne Won the Girls U14 Singles. Girls U16 Singles and the U16 Mixed Doubles.  In the mixed she was partnered by Matthew Treacy from Tramore.  Congratulations and well done.

Adult Open Americans:
These continue again this a week at 7.30 on Friday night. Regular members and friends and green fee participants are all welcome.

Munster Summer Cup:
Teresa Drohan and her squad were in Sundays Well in the quarter finals of the Grade 4 ladies and were narrowly defeated by the strong Cork side. Hard luck girls

Junior Open American:
Come on kids get yourselves to Hillview on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 10.00am for tennis matches organised by Ella & Betty. These friendlies should be good fun and not to be missed. See you there.

Pitch and Putt:
Tuesday Social Nights:
On Tuesday 19th July we had a great turnout for our social scramble.  We hope that everyone will continue to come up to have a great time.  The results are as follows: Overall Nett Winners were Rory O’Hanrahan, Norman Rankin & Enda Phelan.  Overall Nett Runners-up were Rory Sheehan, Paddy O’Hanrahan & Francis McNamara.  Overall Gross Winners were Danny Gibbons, Tom Noonan & Hannah Byrne.  Next Scramble Tuesday 26th starting at 7.00p.m.

Hackett & Millea Cups:
The above sponsored competitions will take place on Friday 29th July.  Play will start at 10.00a.m. with the last card at 7.30p.m.  The entry fee will be €5.00 per-person.  Player of the year points available.  Also in the hole in one competition.  The Format will be Nett Strokeplay.

Presentation Night:
The Presentation Night for all the competitions since the Open will be Friday 29th July.  All prize winners are asked to attend. Prizes for the following will be presented: Magner & Crowley Cups, Smithwick’s & Bulmer’s Original Cups, Burke & Casey Cups, Andy Doyle Trophy and the Hackett & Millea Cups.

Ongoing Competition:
The above competition is still running but your running out of time to play.  €2.00 per-card.  Best 2 Cards to count.  Finishes Sunday 31st July.

Club Graded Matchplay’s:
The above club Graded matchplay’s are under way but there are a lot of matches not played.  The Final’s will take place on Friday 5th August as stated.  Come on Ladies and Gent’s get a move on.

Ashgrove Open:
Week ending 17th July last, Hillview players travelled to Ashgrove Pitch and Putt Club to play in their open singles.  While Thursday & Friday were calm Saturday & Sunday were very windy.  Congratulations to Michelle McCarthy on winning the Ladies Overall Gross.

Ladies & Gents Co. Matchplay’s:
The ladies and Gents Inter qualifying rounds will take place in Tipp-Hills on Wednesday 10th August starting at 6.00p.m…  The entry fee will be €10.00 per-person.  The Gents Senior & Junior Matchplay qualifying round will take place in Tipp-Hills on Thursday 11th August at 6.00pm.  The Finals will be on Sunday 14th August at the same course Tipp-Hills.  Open to all county registered players.

Junior Co. Strokeplay:
The above competition will take place on Wednesday 27th July starting at 6.00p.m…  The entry fee will be €5.00 per-person.  The venue will be Hillview.

National Strokeplay Finals:
On Sunday 24th July last Stephen O’Reilly and James Cleary were our sole representatives in the Senior Strokeplay finals.  Stephen didn’t make the playoff.  James however made the cut with 11 under.  James played well in the playoff with 7 under for the 18 holes.  This gave him 18 under in total.  James finished a very creditable 7th.  Well done James.
