On Sunday 28TH July 2012 the Hillview Lotto Jackpot was worth €5,200.  The numbers drawn were 1-14-15-17 and there was no Winner.  There were 2 tickets with 3 numbers.  Each receives €50.00.

The Next Lotto Draw will take place on Saturday 4TH August.  The Jackpot will be worth €5,300.  Tickets are €1 each and can be bought from ticket sellers and at the Club Bar.  Buy-ins are also available at €45.00 for 1 year.  If you’re not in you can’t win.

 

The annual Hillview Junior Open will start on Sunday 5th August.  The tournament will start with the under 10’s boys and girls round robin.  Other age groups will be starting on Monday.  This year the event is kindly sponsored by Frank Quirke (Barrister at Law).  We expect over 200 individual entries from clubs all over Munster.  Come on juniors get playing and keep the cups at home.  Entries can be done through the Tennis Ireland Tournament website.  You can also phone in your entries at 052 – 6121805.

On Saturday 28th July a junior open American took place.  There was a good entry of boys and girls.  The Results are as follows: Section 1 Winners were Alex Gibbons & Tadgh Carroll.  Runners-up were Pascal Morrissey & Eddie Dunphy. Section 2 Winners were James Harney & Jack Harney.  Runners-up were Simon Farrell & Peter Keating.

The next open American for juniors will take place on Saturday 4th August.  Start time will be 10.30am.  The entry fee will be €3.00 each.  Come along and have some fun.

4 Hillview Members have made the Munster Tennis Team.  They are as follows: Trudy Kennedy, Des Dillon, William Guiry and Martin Ormonde.

 

On Sunday 5th August next the Hillview Pitch and Putt Captains Prize will take place.  Start time will be 9.00am with last card at 2.30pm.  The final 18 holes will take place at 6.00pm.  Entry Fee will be €8.00 per-person.  Come along everyone and show Joe how much we appreciate him and support His Prize.  This competition is also in the Hole in One and Player of the Year Competitions.

The annual Hillview ladies night took place on Friday 20th July last.  There was a fantastic entry on the night with 66 ladies from around the area taking part.  This was one of the best nights in the club in a long while.  Thanks must be given to our sponsor Tina’s Florist for their continued support during the present economic climate.  Thanks must be given to all the ladies who made the night so much off a success.  Thanks also to Eileen Condon who catered on the night.  The food was fantastic.  Thanks also to Joe Hickey and his committee for all the work they put into making the night go so smoothly. We hope to see everyone again next year.

The above Ladies Millea Cup took place on Friday 27th July 2012.  There was a good entry on the day.  The Results of the Millea Cup is as follows: Overall Nett Winner was Laura O’Hanrahan with 94.  Overall Nett Runner-up was Mary Moloney with 99 and the Overall Gross Winner was Pauline Lucey with 114.

The above Gent’s Hackett Cup also took place on Friday 27th July 2012.  There was a good entry on the day.  The results of the Hackett Cup is as follows: Overall Nett Winner was Ronnie Fitzgerald with 86.  Overall Nett Runner-up was Christopher Quinn with 88 and the Overall Gross Winner was Stephen O’Reilly with 93.

On Tuesday 24th July we had another good turnout for our scramble.  The weather was kind to us again this week.  This week we ran our scramble over 27 Holes.  The results are as follows: Overall Nett Winners were Jason Fitzgerald, Paddy O’Hanrahan & Frankie Gubbins with 54 2/3.  The Overall Gross Winners were Christopher Quinn, Norman Rankin & Tom Noonan with 65.  Come on everybody, come along and have some fun.  Open to all adult club members, you don’t have to be registered to play and have some fun.

On Saturday 28th July last there was a good turn out for our juvenile competition. The Results are as follows: Overall Nett Winner was Jack Harney with 77 ½.  Overall Nett Runner-up was Diarmuid Mulcahy with 80 ½.  The Overall Gross Winner was Glen Cullinane with 91.

The next competition will take place on Saturday 4th August starting at 2.00pm.  The entry fee will be €3.00 each.
