Club Lotto & Bingo:
On Saturday 1ST October 2011 the Hillview Lotto was worth €4,400. The numbers drawn were 4-5-14-21 and there was 1 Winner.
Next weeks Lotto will take place on Saturday 8th October. The Jackpot will now be worth €1,000. Tickets are €1 each and can be bought from ticket sellers and at the Club Bar. Buy-ins are also now due, €45.00 for 1 year. If you’re not in you can’t win.
The club bingo takes place every Monday Night in St. Mary’s Hall in Irishtown, Clonmel. The books are not expensive and the prizes are good. Come along and enjoy the evening.
Table Tennis:
Doubles Competition:
Table Tennis is back Ladies and Gentlemen. The 1st competition will now take place on Friday 7th October starting at 8.30p.m. The Entry Fee will be €5.00 per-person. The Closing Date for entries will be Thursday 6th October at 9.00p.m. Open to all members of all standards. New members are welcome. Come along and have some fun while getting some exercise.
Badminton:
Juvenile Badminton Coaching:
Juvenile Badminton Coaching will start on Friday 14th October. Coaching will take place from 7.00p.m. until 8.30p.m. The course will take place over 10 weeks and will cost €50.00. Payment will be due at the 1st session. The entry form is on the notice board in the club hallway. Any youth interested in coaching please write your name on the sheet provided. The closing date for entries is Sunday 9th October.
Tennis:
Hillview Veterans Tournament:
The annual Veteran’s competition beginning on Friday 7th of October and running until Sunday 9th October, draw has been made and can be viewed “online” @ http://ti.tournamentsoftware.com/. There will be a social evening with a buffet meal for contestants and anyone who wishes to support. This will be followed by music in the lounge. You may contact captains Declan Tarrant & Phil Darrer 0863288850 & 0863611270 for any further information on the week-end events. Come along and view tennis of the highest standard with many of the Munster Vets team competing at Hillview from early Saturday and all day Sunday and maybe even on Friday night! The tournament is kindly sponsored by Specsavers and G&M Window Cleaners.
Fund Raiser Open American:
Last Thursday night there was a great turnout for the Gazebo fund raiser. Many thanks must be given to all who played and to all others who gave their contributions without playing. Competition was keen but great fun on the night. Group winners were Betty Lonergan and Philip Buckley while Yvonne Carolan and Declan Tarrant won the other. We look forward to the arrival of the “new Gazebo” and for its first baptism?
Tennis Diary:
The following competitions will be hosted over the coming months at the club. Club Championships will run from the 17th October to the 22nd October. Keep an eye on the board for the entry forms. The Club Team Winter Leagues will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays and will commence on Tuesday 1st November and Thursday 3rd November. The Finals will be on Saturday 10th December 2011. The” Singles Ladder” for October is now up and running. Get these in your diary and try to participate.
Munster Winter Leagues:

Munster Grading Directory:
With the open season now finished the promotion of players to lower grades will occur if a player has accumulated 200 “points” from wins or runner-up positions in the “Opens” or Munster Branch summer cup/winter league successes. Players will be automatically re-graded up according to point’s allocation. See the board for Grading Directory Rules and the points allocated. Sunday Scrambles:
The next Pitch and Putt scramble will take place on Sunday 9th October. The start time will be 2.00p.m. The entry fee will be €3.00 per-person. This scramble will be over 36 holes. To all club members this is a chance to try another sport. You never know you might like it.
Juvenile Competition:
The next Juvenile competition will take place on Saturday 8th October next. The start time will be 2.00p.m. The entry fee will be €3.00 each. The competition will be run over 27 Holes. Come along and enjoy the fun.
Annual Club Outing:
To all Club members please note that the club outing will take place on Saturday 22nd October. Bus, Green Fees and Tea & Sandwiches will cost €25.00 per-person. The Course we will be playing is Fermoy in Cork. Any person interested in going please write your name on the sheet in the club hallway or the Pitch and Putt kiosk.
Bank of Ireland Scramble:
The above scramble Took place on Sunday 2nd October. The entry was very good. Thanks to everyone who played. The results are as follows: Overall Nett Winners were Davy Hallinan, Paddy O’Hanrahan & Brian Arrigan with a score of 73. Overall Nett Runners-up were James Cleary, Joan Donlan & Con Lucey with a score of 74. Overall Gross Winners were Liam McNamara, Jimmy Fitzgerald & Pauline Lucey with a score of 80. The presentation of prizes will take place on Sunday 30th October.
