Club Lotto & Bingo:
On Sunday 30th July 2011 the Hillview Lotto was worth €3,400.  The numbers drawn were 2-6-12-18 and there was No Winner and there were 10 people with 3 numbers, each received €20.00.
Next weeks Lotto will take place on Saturday 6th August.  The Jackpot will now be worth €3,500.  Tickets are €1 each and can be bought from ticket sellers and at the Club Bar.  Buy-ins are also now due, €45.00 for 1 year.  If you’re not in you can’t win.
The club bingo takes place every Monday Night in St. Mary’s Hall in Irishtown, Clonmel.  The books are not expensive and the prizes are good.  Come along and enjoy the evening.  Congratulations to last week’s winner of our Jackpot.

The above Club competition will take place on Friday 19th August starting at 6.00p.m…  The entry fee will be €10.00 per-person.  The entry sheets are on the notice board in the hallway.  Any club member interested please write your name down before 9.00p.m. on Friday 12th August.  Come along and have some great fun.

Junior Tennis: Hillview Open week:
Our Junior Open Week will take place from Monday 8th August to Saturday 13th August 2011.  The closing Date for Entries is Friday 29th July 2011.  Entry forms are available in the tennis kiosk and the hallway and online on the club website. Get this into your calendar.

Junior Notes:
We are after having a great run of success having winners in every event so far.
Kilkenny Junior Open week U10 Winner Brian Lynch, U14 Plate Winner Daire Lynch, U12 Doubles Winners Evan Fitzgerald and Alex Gibbons.  Cashel Junior Open Week, U12 Singles finalist Ryan Lambe, U12 Doubles was an all Hillview affair, Winners were Alex Gibbons and Evan Fitzgerald and Runners-up were Ryan Lambe and Aidan Tobin. U14 Singles finalist was Andrew Duncan.  In Carrick Andrew went one better winning the U14 Singles.  This week in Dungarvan we had some great matches with Niall and Eoin Hoctor reaching the semi finals in the boys U12 & U14 Doubles.  Brian Lynch won the U10 Singles in Straight Sets.  Evan Fitzgerald and Alex Gibbons won the Boys U12 Doubles and are becoming Hillview’s answer to the Bryan Brothers.  Thanks to all the Hillview Parents and players who travel to all these events.  The junior programme recommences on the 29th August please contact Paschal for more details.

Tuesday Social Nights:
On Tuesday 26th July we had our biggest turnout for our social scramble this year.  We hope that everyone will continue to come up to have a great time.  The results are as follows: Overall Nett Winners were Rory Sheehan, Norman Rankin & Anne Mullins with 53.  Overall Nett Runners-up were Eoin Shanley, Con Lucey & Bridget Walsh 53 1/3.  Overall Nett Third were Tom Blanche, Brian Arrigan & Margaret Ryan with 55 2/3.  Overall Gross Winners were Stephen O’Reilly, Eugene Mahoney & Anne Fitzgerald with 67.  Congratulations to the winners.  The Next Scramble will take place on Tuesday 2nd August starting at 7.15p.m.

Hackett & Millea Cups:
The above sponsored competition took place last Friday the 29th July.  There was a very good turnout on the night.  The results are as follows: Ladies Millea Cup: Overall Nett Winner was Laura O’Hanrahan with 94.  Overall Nett Runner-up was Louise Hackett with 98 and the Overall Gross Winner was Kathleen Shanley with 111.  The Gents Hackett Cup:  Overall Nett Winner was Francis (on a roll) McNamara with 90. The Overall Nett Runner-up was Davy Hallinan with 92 and the Overall Gross winner was James Cleary with 93.  Congratulations to all the Winners.

July Ongoing Competition Results:
The above competition finished on Sunday 31st July last.  The results are as follows:  Ladies Overall Nett Winner was Pauline Lucey with 94.  The Gents Overall Nett Winner was Con Lucey with 94.  The Gents Overall Gross Winner was John Fitzgerald with 96.

Club Graded Matchplay’s:
The above club Graded matchplay’s are coming to an end.  The finals will now take place on Saturday 20th August at 7.00p.m.

Ladies & Gents Co. Matchplay’s:
The ladies and Gents Inter qualifying rounds will take place in Tipp-Hills on Wednesday 10th August starting at 6.00p.m…  The entry fee will be €10.00 per-person.  The Gents Senior & Junior Matchplay qualifying round will take place in Tipp-Hills on Thursday 11th August at 6.00pm.  The Finals will be on Sunday 14th August at the same course Tipp-Hills.  Open to all county registered players.

Cunnigar Ladies Open:
Our sole representative Kathleen Shanley came away from Cunnigar with the Ladies Inter Gross.

Juvenile Results:
On Monday 25th July a Juvenile competition took place.  The Results are as follows: Winner Cillian Crowe, Runner-up Luke Fogarty and the Gross went to Glenn Cullinane.
The next competition will take place on Saturday 6th August at 2.00p.m.  The entry fee will be €3.00 per-person.  Come on lets play Pitch and Putt.

August Competition:
This competition will start on Monday 1st August and Finish on Wednesday 31st August 2011.  The entry fee will be €2.00 per-card.  Competitors can play as many cards as they like at €2.00 with their best two cards to count.
