On Saturday 7th April 2012 the Hillview Lotto Jackpot was worth €3,600.  The numbers drawn were 8-9-10-11 and there was no Winner.  There were 3 tickets with 3 numbers. Each receives €40.00.

The Next Lotto Draw will take place on Saturday 14TH April 2012.  The Jackpot will be worth €3,700.  Tickets are €1 each and can be bought from ticket sellers and at the Club Bar.  Buy-ins are also available at €45.00 for 1 year.  If you’re not in you can’t win.

The club bingo takes place every Monday night in St. Mary’s Hall in Irishtown, Clonmel.  The books are not expensive and the prizes are good.  Come along and enjoy the evening.

 

Ladies and Gentlemen it is that time of the year again.  Membership renewal forms have been sent out and must be returned with your subscription.  This applies to junior, student and adult members alike.  Come on Time is running out.

There is a fantastic entry for the Annual Hillview Inter Firms Competition.  This is kindly supported by all the firms in the South Tipperary area.  Many thanks must also be given to our sponsors Bulmer’s and Merck Sharp Dome.  The event caters for players of all standards.  The Inter Firms has already started and we invite you up to support the teams.  The finals will be on the night of Thursday the 19th April. Bulmer’s will be doing a promotion on this night of the finals.  There are large entries in the D Grade, A+ and A.  We hope everyone will enjoy the event.

The new singles ladder for April has been put up on the notice board in the club hallway.  Come on and play and move up the rankings.

Junior coaching will continue next week with paschal.

Ladies Bulmer’s Light Cup.  The closing date for entries is Tuesday 1st May.  The entry fee will be €5.00 per-person.

Gent’s Smithwick’s Cup.  The closing date for entries is Tuesday 1st May.  The entry fee will be €5.00 per-person.

Putting Competition. Starts Sunday 6th May.  Entry Fee €5.00 per-person.  This is a fun competition.  Open to all members and we ask you to bring a friend or two. Please write your names on the sheet provided.

On Sunday 1st April we ran our 1st Pitch and Putt competition of the year.  There was a very good entry with a total of 11 teams of 3 people playing.  The scores on the day were fantastic.  The results are as follows: The Overall Nett Winners were Team 3: Noel Joyce, Stephen White & Margaret Slattery with 283.  Nett Runners-up were Team 11: Darren O’Donnell, Ronnie Fitzgerald & Anne Fitzgerald with 284.  The Overall Gross Winners were Team 4: James Cleary, Francis McNamara & Brian Arrigan with 337.  Congratulations and well done to all.

The above competition took place between the 1st of March and 31st March.  There was a good entry.  The results are as follows: Ladies Overall Nett Winner was Pauline Lucey with 93.  The Gents Overall Nett Winner was Frances McNamara with 86.  The Gents Overall Gross Winner was Noel Joyce with 87.  Well done.

The Munster Mixed Foursomes will take place on Sunday 22nd April 2012.  As there wasn’t enough entries to run a qualifying round, every pair entered is through to the final.  All players playing please note that the venue for the finals is Crosshaven, Cork.

On Sunday there was a good turnout for our fourball.  The results are as follows: Overall Nett Winners Evelyn Cahill & John Fitzgerald, Overall Gross Winners were Stephen O’Reilly & Eugene O’Mahony, Nett Runners-up were Paula Prendergast & Con Lucey and Third Nett was Anne Fitzgerald & Joe Hickey.
